Been eying African Rangers for a few years now but when I saw that they are available in 4E width I had to jump on it. I am naturally a 4E width and have a hard time breaking into leather shoes in general as they do not fit me properly. These fit almost perfectly! The only part that I had an issue was the upper heel was pinching my ankle but after a few weeks breaking period it fits perfectly. The leather is a bit stiff at first but after wearing it for about a month it really softens and molds to your feet. I love how flexible the zero drop sole is it’s very comfortable to walk in. I would be interested in trying if they came out with a wedge sole in a 4E last as I walk on a lot of hard surfaces majority of the time. One thing to note is this leather can darken quite a bit depending on what type of leather conditioner and sealant you use. Mine went down a noticeable few shades darker but after a week they did lighten a touch. I love the original color of the leather so it took a bit of time to get use to the new darker shade but I’m happy with it now. I live in a more wet climate so sealing with a heavy duty conditioner is essential. And although I do like the green laces I ended up ordering brown laces as they are easier to match with more outfits. Overall I am very happy with these boots.
